Chardonnay bunches of the French Bernard clones 95 and 277 were hand-picked from our Glendon Vineyard in Padthaway on 21st February 2014.
Whole bunches were pressed and fermentation was in new and used Burgundy coopered French oak from Louis Latour and Sirugue, followed by 11 months maturation on lees. Bottled March 2015.
Pale straw colour, aromas of citrus, apple and pear with complex nougat and nutty notes. On the palate bright citrus fruit with lovely texture and length. An elegant wine with fine acidity.
